Keep your snorkel on your face
This cheap ($1) piece of equipment is one of the best value for money pieces of equipment you can get. Don't trust the cheap plastic thing your snorkel comes with. Throw that away and get this product, you won't regret it. Don't risk losing your snorkel because you were too cheap to spring for a dollar.
